Connecting the Unconnected

WIOCC offers a unique, diversity-rich Pan-African network which provides direct international connectivity to more than 500 locations in 30 African countries.

Seamlessly linking in excess of 40,000km of submarine cable and more than 55,000km of terrestrial fibre, WIOCC’s network is helping to bring affordable, high-capacity international connectivity to landlocked countries such as Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana and Lesotho. Bandwidth prices in Lesotho fell by 67% when WIOCC used its unique terrestrial network to connect the Kingdom.

Submarine Telecoms Forum magazine recently found out more about the major role WIOCC is playing in supporting economic growth in Africa in their May–June Issue, described in an article entitled ‘Africa Elevated to New Heights’.
